Now Accepting Applications for ISM-Charlotte Supply Chain Management Professional of the Year!

 

The ISM-Charlotte Supply Chain Management Professional of the Year will be awarded on March 27, 2020 at the ISM-Charlotte Spring Conference in recognition of outstanding achievement and dedicated service to the supply chain profession.

Please nominate affiliate members who demonstrate the requisite levels of service and commitment to the ISM-Charlotte affiliate or the national ISM organization.  Submit nominations to Kyle MacKinnon  (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by end of business Friday, March 6, 2020 with the Supply Chain Management Professional of the Year application (see link under Members Only page).

Nominees are evaluated on the following criteria:

Must be a current C.P.M., CPSM and/or CPSD or currently working towards certification and cannot be a recipient of this award in the past five (5) years

  • Active participation in affiliate and/or national ISM activities

  • Demonstrate excellence in procurement & supply chain management, recognized by their peers

  • Documented performance that exceeds expectations (i.e., reductions in cost through consolidation, standardization, continuous improvement, technical support) and/or streamlining supply chain processes (i.e., supply base reduction, outsourcing, use of technology) and customer satisfaction

  • Successful management of supplier relationships as well as innovative programs to control spending and costs

  • Thorough understanding of industry trends and marketplace competitiveness as well as an understanding of supplier costs

  • Excellent relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., maintenance, operations, engineering, accounts payable, finance, company leadership, etc.)

  • Sets standards of excellence that other supply chain and procurement professionals emulate

  • Demonstrated service to ISM, the profession, and the community that is distinct from services expected in their regular work
